School Rules & Regulations

School rules and regulations are essential for maintaining discipline, safety, and a positive educational environment. They generally cover areas like attendance, uniform, behavior, property care, and interactions within the school community.

Dress and Appearance

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform, properly cleaned and ironed.
  • Personal hygiene is mandatory; hair must be neat and properly maintained, and nails kept clean and short.
  • Fancy hairstyles, colored hair, nail polish, tattoos, and jewelry are typically not allowed.
  • Only permitted accessories (such as simple watches for older students) are allowed.

Attendance and Punctuality

  • Students must attend school regularly and be punctual to both school and all activities.
  • Leaving the premises is prohibited unless properly signed out by a parent or guardian.
  • Notes from parents are required after absence or late arrival.

Behavior and Courtesy

  • Students must respect teachers, staff, school leaders, and each other at all times.
  • Politeness, good language, and responsible social behavior are stressed.
  • Running, shouting, and playing inside classrooms and corridors are forbidden; organized outdoor play is allowed under supervision.

Property and Cleanliness

  • School property must be respected; vandalism or willful damage requires compensation.
  • Littering is not tolerated; students should use dustbins and keep the campus clean.
  • Personal belongings should be carefully kept and labelled, as the school is not responsible for lost items.

Prohibited Items and Actions

  • Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, fancy stationery, comics, and valuable items are typically banned from school unless explicitly permitted.
  • No chewing gum, sharp objects, or forbidden substances on school grounds.
  • Students should not bring self-driven vehicles, even if they are licensed; only bicycles are usually allowed.

Discipline and Consequences

  • Disciplinary measures include warnings, detentions, written remarks, confiscation of prohibited items, and, for serious offences, suspension or expulsion.
  • Parents may be involved if repeated rule-breaking occurs.

Academic and General Conduct

  • Students are expected to complete assignments on time and keep all school materials in good condition.
  • Diaries and handbooks must be brought daily, kept tidy, and signed as required by teachers and parents.
  • Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate responsibly, and help create a proud and respectful school community.

Important Notice

These rules may be adapted or specified further by individual schools, but the core principles are similar across most educational institutions. This guidance helps ensure students' disciplined behavior, academic success, and emotional health, while parents provide supportive and constructive involvement in their children's schooling.
